MC-ICP-MS Spectroscopist


The UC Davis Interdisciplinary Center for Plasma Mass Spectrometry announces an immediate opening for a full-time technical position in support of the Multicollector Inductively-Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (MC-ICPMS). Responsibilities include sample preparation and analysis, technique development, management, maintenance, training and client analytical assistance for the MC-ICPMS laboratory. Knowledge of analytical chemistry beyond a basic level is required (e.g. evidence of B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in a field related to ICP-MS applications or the equivalent in experience). Several years of experience with mass spectrometry and related sample preparation (geochemical and/or biological) are required. The Spectroscopist must be able to interact effectively with a broad range of clientele and their students.
