ICP-MS

Center’s quadrupole ICP-MS (Agilent 7500ce) Autosampler (Cetac ASX 510)
Liquid samples, including natural waters, aqueous solutions, and acid
digests of rocks, minerals, sediments, soils, and biota are directly
introduced into ICP-MS using a peristaltic pump. A nebulizer converts
liquid samples to an aerosol, which is suspended in argon carrier gas.
This aerosol is transported into the plasma for atomization and
ionization. The peristaltic pump ensures a constant flow rate and
sample uptake rate can be adjusted. A large number of liquid samples
can be analyzed using an autosampler (Cetac ASX-510) that accommodates
240 samples at one time.
